The cabin let us do some simple country living. We loved sitting on the porch, swinging and listening to the sounds of the crickets. We took BEAUTIFUL pictures at Little River Canyon and DeSoto State Park. We enjoyed the fishing and paddle boating and also loved petting Lola and Zeke, they were wonderful. We felt so at home because everything I forgot was available at the cabin. On our last night we sang Karaoke, laughed and had a great time. This was so relaxing, just what we needed. We don’t want to leave but hope to be back very soon! God Bless!

This was our 5th visit to Roosters Rest!!! We enjoyed the Bass House again and also enjoyed the fishing. As always we had a great time. We will be back.

We had a great time! This is a very peaceful place. The cabin was very nice and we enjoyed some good naps. We will come back again.

Lots to do in the area, we ate lunch at the Windward Farms and had dinner at the Wildflower Café. We went to DeSoto Falls which was very nice. Little River Canyon was very pretty with all the Fall color foliage. Although the wind was cold the cabin was so nice and cozy to come to. We enjoyed our stay here.

We've spent another wonderful weekend in Fort Payne, this time we shared the Bass House with good friends Gene & Lisa. This time around, we brought our street bikes. Although the weekend was a really wet one, we enjoyed the food, drink, friendship and relaxation on the porch. We did get some motorcycling in when the rain slacked, we all vowed to come back hoping to put many more miles in under "sunshine". Just like other visits with you once again we found this is a place we can unwind and enjoy all that nature has to offer. Thanks again for sharing your cabin with us.

Gracious where do I start the Bass House was the most relaxing getaway I have ever come across. Miss Donna was so kind and made us feel at home. The sites we saw in this area were wonderful. This was one getaway that made us feel like newlyweds. Yep after 38 years of marriage we found our dream spot. I felt like I found heaven… I plan to return every summer!

Brought my two boys out for a guy’s weekend, had a fantastic time. Fished and caught several bass and bream. Road horses and rented a canoe and paddled near Desoto Falls. We will definitely return.
